To You, From Me

It's kind of a remix of my three old poems

A best friend was what I had asked for,
Suddenly I heard you knocking on my door
You didn't have the traits of even just a friend,
And I wondered why you were the one God had sent

Time changed everything without my notice,
Little by little, I learned to listen to your stories
I learned to go along with your act of craziness,
And found myself joining your weird interests

I have always thought that falling is the epitome of cliché,
Then you came, put my life on a different play
Who would have thought someone could set me on flame,
And on that, you have to take the blame

I can't remember when everything turned upside-down,
Just one day, I started wishing upon the stars
I began dreaming of more than what we have,
And that moment, I realized I have fallen in-love

My dear, you really are one of a kind,
I love you very much, but can only have it in my mind
If I tell you how I feel, will you be able to accept?
I am afraid to know that your answer is, "Reject"

If hiding is what it takes to keep our closeness,
I will be contented with just those stolen chances
But there is still this day I'm looking forward to,
The day when my feelings will finally reach you.
