![]() My Path in LifeA Poem by lochsportgirl![]() An unknown path lies before me when I am born, a path I must follow, with detours along the way.![]() ![]() Winding through land shaped by yesterday and the promise of tomorrow. I walk this life, a road measured not in miles but in moments, In the sun filtering through the leaves, staining dappled patterns on the ground. The wind whispers secrets it has picked up on distant mountain peaks, Carrying with it tales of ancient stones and the patient endurance of trees, Each breath a summons to change as the only constant companion, Driving me forward, though my feet may be full loaded with the burden of the world. I remember fields of childhood, where wildflowers danced in vivid hue, And bumblebees hummed a dozy tune, a sun washed lullaby of languor, Those times, like fireflies caught in cupped hands, now remain a soft glow, Yet linger, a warm ember deep within my heart. The river flows beside me, a strand of silver winding through the world's landscape, Reflecting heaven in its depths, echoing the vastness within me, It reminds me of peace, the power of patience, the resilience in silent surrender, To let go the past, to keep the present, to have faith where it will lead me. Sometimes the road is taken over, prickly thickets entwining at my cuffs, And terror starts to creep in, a numbing fog obscuring the sheen on the horizon, But I go on, hoping that even at the thickest darkest place, There is a hidden glade, a spot where light will soon erupt. I am nothing but a pilgrim on this winding road, a wanderer of grace and purpose, Gathering wisdom from the rocks, and solace from the whispering trees, The path stretches out before me, an invitation to discover, to seek, to be, And with each stride, I glimpse a little more of this intricate dance of life.
