No lifeguard on Duty

No lifeguard on Duty

A Poem by Laha

This room is dense
I can't move, think, feel or live
inside it

I stretch the walls of this dark place
until they strain
tiny bits of shimmering white seep through

And that's where I bide
on the outskirts

I Squint to see through grayish walls
I command my limbs to reach out

SLIP. FALL.
CRACK MY HEAD.

The eerieness inside me releases
and I drown

This poem shocked me. Im not really sure where it came from. I was just doing some free writing and it happened. I'm usually not that morbid. But it was somewhere inside, so better to write it out, no?
