Metaphor.

Metaphor.

A Poem by Kay S

I envy

Those who write

 Of gold and water,

Libraries, sky and India,

But mean love.

Those who paint

The rainbow and the colour

Or the sea from long ago.

But mean love.

Those who watch

The moon and the stars,

The bluebells in the wood.

And see love.

This is very good. I don't know how old you are, but over my substantial number of years, I've come to recognize threads that weave through many things. The use of metaphors, when done properly, are a source of profound truth.
