the Café a beautiful place for writing, reading and reviews

but there are days that we get lost in this sea of stories

and time becomes an endless travel from one story to another

we get lost here, yet time keeps moving

so lets not forget that there’s life beyond the café

 

the Café is absolutely pleasurable 

you can find whatever you fancy

from romance to horror to a romantic horror

your every desire, every fantasy fulfilled

but we can’t get lost here there’s life beyond the café

 

the café brings us joy that is not found else where

but we mustn’t allow the café to rule who we are

we are unique individuals

can’t become obsessed with being number one

we must remember that there is life beyond the café

 

every new writing we add brings a smile to our face

every new review we get brings a smile to our hearts

those reviews that we crave, yes we crave them

makes each new writing more valuable

but we mustn’t torment ourselves there’s life beyond the café

 

so lets remember the “TZ LStine1’s” out there

and write because we love to

not because we’ve become consumed

with a pretty badge and millions of reviews

I know because I have crossed the line of spending way to much time online in the past, I already knew I have boundaries b4 I joined the Cafe. I thought about my kiddos seeing Mamma's back at her desk instead of doing what I ought to be doing, and the thought of that keeps my time and energies here tempered with a sweet dose of reality.

I couldn't write a truer statement. You put it perfectly. TZL is an example of what can happen, perhaps not to that extent, but to a person who loses sight of the beauty and creativity here. This piece needs to be read by all. I added enough truth to "Obsesson" where many people could see bits and pieces of themselves, including me. If you are going to strive for the Top..let it be for being just a good human being.

hey sweetheart, I love this. The message that you put here is perfect. You write so wonderfully and the point of this piece is one that many need to hear. I think that sometimes we get so wrapped up in the make-up of things that the truth is lost beneath a mess of petty bullshit. Without the life outside the cafe, we would have no new material, no new life experiences to bring to our writing. I post my work here on the cafe for people to read, if they want to. It doesn't break my heart though when a piece only gets a few reviews. I never care if I am not on the popular list or the best writing list. Who cares? What matters is the way that the writing affects those it does reach.
