Blacksoul

Blacksoul

A Poem by R.L. Davenport

Souls will perish without hope
Bouts of self hatred that consumes the mind
To rather die in the arms of no one
Lonely and cold in terror of the unknown
The man quickly labeled monster in the slightest misstep
Everything taken from his grasp and no where to turn
Pressure and anxiety riddled
The ego chimes masculinity doesn't seek help
And to what end does this fallacy reach?
The demons know no end
Just another attempt to harm, box, and destroy the mind indirectly
Love isn't found in the uncommunicative
Societal issues and the femoral artery that's slashed

Ending is creative .....you have covered no. Of aspects...and giving broad meaning to our so called existence.

Thanks for the review. Appreciate it!
The black soul. A deadly sickness. You cannot be healed. Powerful and worthwhile shared. I enjoyed these words and thank you for the outstanding poetry.
