As I watch, he draws near. I can feel the pull of an unseen hand as it grips me with a power I have never felt before. It's bruising, invisible fingers sinking deeper into my soul. Attaching himself to the very core that keeps me alive. I close my eyes to severe his grip. He has bypassed the very lids of my eyes and keeps his grip. I can not close him out. He has come to claim what is his. To wring the life from my body and leave an empty husk that once held life. And all I can do is
