A Poem by Gretchen Fontaine

I see sparks fly,
but you don't see them
because you are The Sun.
You make waves in my heat,
but you can't hear them
because you are The Ocean.
You make me high,
but you can't tell
because you are The Sky.
You make me feel cleansed,
but you'll never know
because you are perfect.

Author's Note

Gretchen Fontaine
Not too sure about the last stanza. Mostly the word choice of perfect makes me uncomfortable.
Not yet titled, open to suggestions.

Lovely read and write. Not at all overdone.

I feel like it works, but I do think your image is a little overdone and devotive - why not just pick one metaphor and expand on that instead of trying to use all of them at once and making them all weaker as a result?
