Mousetrap

Mousetrap

A Poem by Andrew Watkins

Something is in the air I can sense it comin'
And I was sitting here peacefully doing nothin'
when I felt something hoverin' over me like a bir'
and then I felt my hands tighten up on me
and then I felt like someone had taped up my mouth
and then I felt like someone had pulled out the air from my lungs
and then it was like someone had frozen me with their ray-freeze
Then Chuck Berry came on and I felt more at ease
Mousetrap comin' down the road
Mousetrap coming up a heavy load
Mousetrap coming to lay you flat
Mousetrap living in your flat
You might think of all this stressin' is nothing more than someone messin'
got nothing to do so they devise for you a hell
so when you wake up you see the fire all around you and when you sleep
its no better cause they are fanning the flames higher and higher
And it's not of your doin' this sulphur burnin' burnin' burnin'
So what to do. I took to prayin' but I think he knows I'm  desperate
So he helps the neighbours raising hell for me with their fire.
Mousetrap coming down the road for sure it gonna get ya
Mousetrap coming Its not gonna let ya find a peace of mind
It's for sure your nemesis without a form but with a function, to make you normal.
So forget all your scorn and stand in line for they are freeing mousetraps one at a time in your local store. Buy one GET ONE FREE.
That's it from me.
