She is different.

She is different.

A Poem by FantasyLove
"

A poem describing the struggle of an outcast who just wants to fit in, only to realize she is an outcast because it's WHO SHE IS!

"
She was not accepted by her dear family,
she was different.

She tried to learn to be like them but still,
she was very different.

The years went by and by,
many hours she just cried, for
she was different.

At school she was the laughing stock because,
she was different.

She looked inside herself to see what she was doing wrong,
she hated being different.

She tried to speak but no words could describe,
that she was just so different.

So she got a new look, such a beautiful look,
then she was a little less different.

She read a book on how to be,
a little less different.

She learned to talk and make new friends,
she yearned to be different.

Many adventures she went on as she changed,
the experiences were different.

Different from her floating dreams and big ambitions,
but at least they didn't call her different.

She was now accepted as she learned to be like them,
she was no longer different.

She did what the world told her to,
and so her dreams became different.

What were her dreams? Where does she go from here,
now that she is not so different?

She can't function in this world like everybody else,
she needs to do something different.

Now she sits back and she thinks,
I am supposed to be different

How do I find myself after all these years of trying,
not to be different?

How I wish I was different.
