Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by lpcx

The water overtakes.
Regret envelops me like a shroud.
I struggle;
But there I stay.

My lungs fill.
Screams can no longer be heard.
I plea;
But nothing happens.

I am irrelevant.
In this world filled to the brim.
I cry;
But it doesn't matter.

The water overtakes.
Equanimity fills my fraglie self.
Eyes close;
And there I stay.
