2:17

2:17

A Poem by lrebel
"

Easy one

"
Lying awake at 2:17
Can't stop thinking about what did you mean
When you said little to nothing at dinner tonight ?
Maybe you're tired
Or just uninspired
But I can tell that something aint right.

We used to sit by the fire
And talk of desires
And our life that would go on and on.
Now my love's unrequited,
You act as if slighted
And I can't help but feel that your gone.

You're gone gone gone gone gone
I know that I'm right that something is wrong
Your gone gone gone gone gone
But why is it taking so long?

Throughout my day I wait for your call
Or a response to a message that's all
But instead your silence  leaves me reeling.
It hurts quite a lot
And it pisses me off
The anger a great mask for the feelings

What did I say ? What did I do
Was it not enough or too much attention to you?
What did I do that was wrong?
I know that you're leaving
Already I'm grieving
Because in my heart I know that your gone

You're gone gone gone gone gone
I know that I'm right that something is wrong.
Your gone gone gone gone gone
But why is it taking so long?

Your silence speaks volumes the message quite clear.
Your absence compounding the validity of fear.
Such a drawn out so-long,
Why can't you just say your are going ?
I'll be better for knowing.
Please baby just tell me your gone.

You're gone gone gone gone gone
I know that I'm right that something is wrong
Your gone gone gone gone gone
But why is it taking so long?
