Philosophical Birdman

Philosophical Birdman

A Poem by Lionel Braud

Hey, philosophical Birdman

Both eyes gleaming in opposing directions

Your rock hard Zen has got me crosseyed

Hey, Mr. Philosophical Birdman?
Why do you stare so intently

When you know the dust will accumulate there?

Hey, Mr. Philosophical Birdman?

I know I beleaguer with the question that paints us both

My mental television casting infuriating reality tv shows

Let us reveal the mathematical terseness

Terms which we lived by but never knew what they were

Mr. Birdman,
I can’t tell the difference

Between the casting screen and the projector
