I Seek Immortality

I Seek Immortality

A Poem by Holy Gma
"

Apoem about the pain of being separate from God.

"
My God, My God, why have You withdrawn from me? My heart echos from Your absence and my mind screams guilty pleas.
I feign devoutness through the motions of my ruse. Hoping I can fool You with this approximation of  truth.
There is a chasm between us and it seems I've let it grow by clinging to rituals that are nothing more than show.
I fear I've lost the right to ask for Your forgiveness, so I wallow in self pity  pretending to be sinless.
A life apart from You is being only half alive. In fear of the enemy, hoping only to survive.
I seek immortality Lord, when my life here is complete.I want to live in Your grace Lord, to worship at Your feet.
Illuminate the path my God that leads me straight to You. Grant to me forgiveness Lord, let my faith be born anew.
I'll take the first step, Lord; I am  willing to receive. I'll keep my promise first, Lord; I fervently believe.
