The Girl With The Beautiful Soul

A poem I wrote for my daughter on her birthday that expresses my pride that she lives her faith through happiness as well as pain

Happy birthday my darling, another year's come and gone
and you've lived your faith strong and true.
And every one of those three - hundred-sixty-five days
was informed by your uncommon view.
The view that there is no fear in love,
for God's love drives out all fear.
If we, through prayer and supplication,
accept Him and keep Him near.
You have faith that God has a plan for your life,
a plan of prosperity not of harm;
knowledge that should you approach the edge of despair
you will be safe in the Savior's arms.
I know you have experienced real pain this year;
you're still bruised and do not feel quite whole.
Yet my eyes see only the perfection of God's love,
shining through a Beautiful soul.
So again, Happy birthday my love,
I pray your every wish will come true;
and that the peace that surpasses all understanding
will be granted by God to you.
