A poem

let us recall ancient times

when mighty Exxon lit the way

Amazon heralded gods with chimes

children nuzzled the bosom of eBay

 

remember the sweet whispers

wafting down the aisles of Wal-Mart

blissful mixtures

dreams found deep within our heart

 

think of the three warring brothers

Apple with silver bow in hand

Microsoft climbing red cliffs in the summer

Google building Kroger castle under sand

 

we can look to our heroes

General Motors the gift of revolution

how she braved ten thousand arrows

vanquished her foes and shattered the illusion

 

in Berkshire Hathaway we find peace

our souls are filled through Wells Fargo

and just like Valero’s defiant fleece

through these saints we carry life’s cargo
