A Reward

A Reward

A Poem by luciddreamer

Girl sits,  face in hands

tears rolling down her sad face

life has passed her by

Black clouds hovering

Menacing thunder does roar

Lightning streaks the sky

Children run down hall

scared of the storm coming in

in her lap they land

smile crosses girl face

exhaling in and out, breathe

girl recites a poem

Take a lesson here, all you eloquent tricksters of communication.
There is no Poetry in illusions, pornography or fiction.
Robin here, she writes the RealThing.

One who can appreciate poetry of this calibre, is a person who doesn't know TVschedules but can tell you the real color of the sidewalk. One who doesn't believe his eyes as he looks at the real world.
In these articulate pieces, he can feel the inner spirit of others, and is hopelessly addicted to the pursuit of Awareness.
And, this is why we read and write, no?
