The Torch Passes On

The Torch Passes On

A Poem by luciddreamer

O' Children heed my words, learn take others knowledge and implant it deep
vary from the wide road, the parts that everyone knows explore the possibilites of science, math, imagination and prepare yourself with the knowledge of history,
then dear children go out and lead with a loving heart and playful soul
learn from that guitar playing bum on the street he will teach you more about life than that 3 piece suit, I promise you Listen to the corner w***e, she's talking about you and I,
our psyche, our oneness Dig deep for the great minds of the past not the ones who are paraded before you with their wide smiles and fake cares
of the human species
Listen to the ones who have been called insane, listen with your hearts, and then you decide
don't allow others to dictate what you hear or see
Why not try a little pay it forward what do you have to lose?
Become the ones; all the generations before you failed
Become the warriors instead of the robbers of your towns
Become the sanity in an insane world
It is now in your hands
