Scaling

Scaling

A Poem by luciddreamer

No longer begging for Mothers or Daddys approval

She boarded the ship and took over, pain leading the way

Leaving the anchor on the shore, she sailed for the open seas

braving the storms,  enjoying the stars, remembering the knowledge

gained along the way

Eventually, she lands on alien territory

watching her life being performed

by the young, the brave, the determined

after realizing all the mistakes she made with good intentions

and the power of manipulated words

she sits in the box seats quitely watching the game

while she reaches for the knife that never leaves her back

she thinks about her purpose in life...

That's the Robin I know.

So when can we expect to see the collection, ready to publish?

I like the imagery in this one... it flows nicely and is well written especially the last stanza.
