When will it be time?

A couple of days of terror dreams......

You must realize

the young as well as the old

the rich as well as the poor

the christian as well as the athiest

the muslim as well as the jew

that something is amiss

 

You must see

the degenerate nature of humans

the full time responsibility

of keeping our own dignity in

this seeminly over rated drama

 

You must feel

the rumbling of the stomachs

the fear of the masses

the confusion of humanity

on a world wide basis

 

You must see

the hate seeminly taking over

the bullies winning the awards

the devils, killing us through any means necessary,

flashing us their white smiles through their cold hearts

 

While our minds are in a prison

staying focused on how to get through today

never looking past our daily dose of

desensitization via the mass media

backed by the pill from the pharmaceutical

who has proved (cough cough) human kinds

best interest at heart, served on a platter

graciously thought out by our neglected elected officials,

backed by whomever (insert your theory here)

 

When will it be time

to put down that gun or knife

to realize you are both your mothers boys

to look away, choose to see another

reality, no matter what anyone says

to say words backed by kindness,

to acknowledge true understanding

of suffering and pain

to truly love one another

respect those who respect back

represent the down trodden

realize all our thoughts are the reason
