Secrets of a Stranger

Fear as a barrier to fulfillment.

A stranger in a strange land,
barely noticed,
he walks the earth receiving no more than a glance,
attention eludes him,
yet still hopes for a chance to dance

However, his mind holds secrets that that he holds on to dearly,
revealing them brings fears of ridicule and mockery,
told that in order to capture attention, one must be worthy,
sadly, the man sees his thoughts to be a private matter

Terror tears through him as he ponders how others will react to his desires,
he would rather keep secrets that shine like the sun when kept within,
many wishes that he worries that in the spotlight will dim
