a historical day

a historical day

A Poem by Lulu Bell
"

an erratic stream of thoughts

"

I write untimely plays and eat cheeseburgers. Sometimes the pickles give me a rash and sometimes they don’t. Lately I find myself climbing cacti with strange birds but they always beat me and I always fall first. One day, I fell on a button. That day marked the one in history where everyone wearing purple, across the entire world, was simultaneously sprinkled with gold. Around my neck is strung the containing bottle. I think I’ll use it to tame a dragon"or breath underwater. Deep down in the ocean’s darkest depths is where my pop-pop left his favorite compass and I swore to him I’d find out how it got there. Fish may be fine swimmers but birds are frequent flyers! “To be one with living creatures, is to be one. To be two with them, is to be three.” Wise men say the darndest things.
