Naive

Naive

A Poem by Lunar Lightning

Listening is not hearing.

You listen to me every day.

Yet you do not hear the pain in my voice.

Looking is not seeing.

You look at me every day.

Yet you do not see the tears in my eyes.

Naive people.

Oh so gullable.

My facade is so believable.

this is a wonderful piece, all of your writing is. it is full of sadness, most of which you refuse to let others see. sometimes its better to take a chance and let the people around you see the frailty of your spirit. its a very good piece though, i enjoy your writing style greatly, thank you for sharing

Interesting poem. Like your point of view, unique style and its hint of dark thoughts of someone with a secret. And with that said, how do people see others when their intention is to hide (even in full view, wearing a facade to deceive). What is it that hides behind such an innocent seeming smile, the wisdom of shadows is to give doubt from illusion's disguise... Thanks for sharing.

I can understand what your saying and i agree, just because your looking at me and listening what I'm saying, doesn't mean that you understand me. I like it! Keep writing!
