Cat and Mouse

Listen closely

Because we are going to play a game

I like to call it cat and mouse

You will be the mouse

The lier, cheater, runner, hider

I am going to be the cat

The knower, protector, chaser, finder

Lets make up the rules

Shall we

You keep about your dailey agenda

I'll hide in the shadows and watch your every move

You keep scheming and decieving

Just pretend you don't know I am there

I am going to get you back for every little thing you do

Every lie you tell and every person you cheat

Do you remember what happens when a cat catches a mouse

The mouse is left for dead on someone's front porch

That should be fun

If only for one of us

So listen closely

i love this poem. it is so much more than a cat and mouse game, it is someone who has been betrayed turning that betrayal into power.

Well the picture drew me in, cat playing chess is pretty clever. The poem ... albeit morbid not that enticing, however, a nice play of domination...
