Credo Quia Absurdom

Credo Quia Absurdom

A Poem by Lunar Lightning

The wind whispers its secrets in the cold winter night

Telling us all things we don't care to hear

A different peice of knowledge for every single person

I wonder what it tells me

Sometimes a gentle breeze it passes and lets me sleep

I'll stay in my dreamy trance of wonder

Or I'll stay up and listen and try to understand

I wonder what it tells me

Sometimes a roaring howl it wakes me from my paradise

Perhaps it is a warning for tomorrow

Maybe it is just something I need to know

I wonder what it tells me

You just think it is the wind

A simple part of nature

Am I crazy for what I wonder

I wonder what it tells me

Tell me it is nonsense and that it couldn't be

But my reply will always be the same

Credo quia absurdom, I believe because it is absurd

Will you wonder with me

Will you listen to the wind and think

I wonder what it tells me

Nice job, the originality of the phrase Credo quia absurdom is what caught my attention. I especially like the line "Am I crazy for what I wonder... I wonder what it tells me." Great job!
