(our) soul

(our) soul

A Poem by luvsick
"

the way the moonlight reflects on every river, the universe reflects on every soul

"
holding back, I won't let it out today.
surrounded by what's yet to make me whole.
these things I've seen, I've heard, I've lost
I should have known I'd reap what I once sowed.
corrode the long forsaken heart
haunted by the bonds its broke.
what left of you tears the mind apart,
but the scars burned in my skin feel right at home.
so take my chains and weigh them in your arms,
maybe then you'll see me for my soul.
take my heart and give it to the stars,
maybe then you'll see me for my soul.
