pinks

pinks

A Poem by Lynn Swanson

Pink peonies blossom

Petals gently unfolding

bringing spring to start

As the sun disappears

Deep pink envelops the sky

Swirling hues deepen.

Long legs and arched neck.

Soft pink feathers ruffle in wind.

While flocked together.

Slightly parted lips

Pale pink and fleshy - they move

To utter his name.
