Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Lestat's daughter

                             Can't breath,

                             Why can't I breath

                             Does any one know?

I have to breath if I'm to live

                             What's the world come to

Is no one gonna save me?

                             Please, I can't breath!

                             Coughing, gasping,

I don't want to die yet!

I can't even cry from pain.

                             Someone please save my life!

What did I do to get this?

                             This isn't fair to me.

                             Darkness creeps.

                             It's coming closer to me.

Is this really my fate, to die?

No sence in trying to fight.

                             I couldn't win if I tried.

                             No regrets here?

                             What's that sound?

                             It's getting stronger...

                             *Gasps and wakes up*

                             Only a dream.

                             Time for school.

Very good! There are times I have these same kind of dreams where I feel Like I am drowning or suffocating not being able to breathe. Sometimes, the pain and suffering in our lives, the frustrations manifest themselves through dreams. Believe me I know been there done that...

we all go through those phases of wild dreams.
I liked your putting itnto scene...so real, and
I liked the twist on the end: actually, this was
very pleasant. Thanks for your lovely comment
after reading my new poem The Test. Much appre-
ciated.
bye,
