Boxing Day

Boxing Day

A Poem by M J Hutton

Today,
Has been the worst,
Since....
We last parted.
I don't know why,
Or how, but
Logic
And time.....
So called healing space...
Was
Obliterated today....
Nullified,
And I missed you.....
Like I have never
Missed,
Anyone
Or anything
In any of my previous hours
Or life's.....
Today,
Boxing Day,
The day that gained
It's name,
From the masters
Giving their
Servants
A gift, a box
Hence Boxing Day,
For all their hard work
Throughout the year,
And Christmas Day...
Boxing Day,
The day I realized,
That,
I only make sense,
When near you,
When I fathomed and dissected,
I only feel complete
When with you....
Boxing Day,
When everything made sense,
Just by knowing you....
