Set me free

Set me free

A Poem by M. Coleman
"

To be set free by a person is a true belief in love, to not believe in love is understandable. However, you cannot be set free.

"
they flow from my mouth like the petals from a treethey open my soul and pour out what's left of me

these words I'm speaking have their own mind

they wither within my mouth and my teeth they grind

they erupt with color when they are set free into the air

they brighten the day of many who wish to give a care

to read them is folly to know them is rare

to give them a chance is all any man can bare

don't take them to heart too quickly or else you'll fall victim too

a slave to the lyrics of life's song is only to easy for you

these words I've been spitting mean nothing at all do they

these words I've been holding just harden into this clay

they could do numbers if heard by the right one

or they could fall relentlessly into black when I'm done

the reason behind them still rings true

they represent who I am to me, and to you

these words may fly from my mouth so easily like a dove

these are only words but I offer what's left of me

take these words from my mouth, but please set my heart free
