Life Tragedy and Self Pity

Life Tragedy and Self Pity

A Story by Mark Verndick

My body's filled with scars, fresh bruises, and cuts.

The cuts were so beautiful, each tells a different story:

One of pain, another of care-free steps to temporary happiness.

The scars were mirrors of my mistakes, pale and devoid of pain.

The bruises hurt the most at the moment but you'll never see me with any thing caressing my fragile skin.

It will make me look weak.

It makes me feel weak.

Well, who wants to show the world how vulnerable he is, not just emotionally but physically as well?

So I chose to hide it deep inside this dark and unexplored persona wherein no one will bother to look at.

Yes.

It was never easy to hide the wounds but the pain, we can conceal from the eyes of the concerned and innocent.

But i know better, it was only from the eyes, not from the warmth of a caring heart.
