16 years old

A Poem by macyblue

13 years old.

Scratches lace like tic-tac-toes

Red puddles drop, drop, drop

His blood turned me white as snow

But I begin to fall

14 years old.

Wake up, get dressed, go to school

Ten dollars in my back pocket

The doctor is bringing the fuel

Another gallon of chronic

15 years old

Sharing secrets in the movies

Underneath the hidden moon

There is no such thing as cooties

Maybe it was too soon

16 years old

Routine adventures at 2 a.m.

Put the paper on my tongue

Slow dancing under the big red

I’m feeling quite numb

Hmm, great job. You've got a lot of talent. The flow of this poem feels a tad disjointed, but it's not bad per-see. The only other thing I have to say is that you might want to start at 13 with a different tone than you end up with at 16. It would feature some character development, as well as giving your poem a linear crescendo. Other than that, wonderful job ❤️
