My reminder

My reminder

A Poem by Maddy Raye
"

I wrote this about the night I ran away from home and I wanted to end it all. Every time I step outside reminds me that I'm a survivor.

"
Every time I step my foot outside, reminds me of the night I almost died.
Walking down the street at three am, knowing that my heart would stop beating.

So I walked to the station,
I fought from thinking those nasty thoughts.
I know its over but I lost control of my wandering soul.

Every time I step my foot outside makes me think I've done it right.
Walking down the street at three am,
Turns out that I only made it lies.

I walked down the street, waiting for the Lord to come get me.
I looked up at the moon and begged the Lord to forgive me.
I look down at myself and say "Life's worth living."
