The Little Secret

The Little Secret

A Poem by Galldora King

There once was a girl

So innocent and sweet

With a little secret

That haunts her to this day

No one knew this secret

Or was it that they pretended not to know

The secret that would haunt her for life

It wasnt her choice

Than why did it have to happen to her

Obviously no one could have stopped it anyways

The girl just wished people cared

When finnaly she did tell them

They had cried for a while

Told her how sorry they were

Told her they would do something

About the pain...

What a bunch of liars

Because years later she still suffered

And not one of them remembered

That little secret

With a bit of remorse

That was forgotten

Just like her

Told her how sorry they (WERE)
Years later she still (suffered)

I kinda liked this one but it begs the question...What was the secret? I think you could do more with this one. I like the fact that it leaves a mystery, but it's a little too vague to figure out. In the 5th line you say no one knew this secret. than you say she told others about her secret. Hmm.

Is it possible she was raped! Hmm
