WHY

WHY

A Poem by MAH MEKOLLE
"

this is about that moment, too many whys, no answers, a mixture of emotions, why, why why

"
WHY

How could you hurt me so bad?
How could you hurt yourself so bad too?
Why did our love go
Where was your loyalty
Where was your faith in us
Why were you weak
Why did you succumb to darkness
Where was your strength
Where was your God
Why did you turn your back on us
Why didn't you hold on like I did
Where was your pride,
Where was my dignity in all this
Why did you continue
Why did you forget yourself,
Why did you forget me
Why

Author's Note

MAH MEKOLLE
the story of how we wonder why people do the things they do that affect us negatively, that affects them negatively as well, you want to save them, you want to understand their choices, but all you can do is ask why, where, what, then why again

know what? This could've been better in prose. A poetic kind of prose.... I love reading poetic prose!
