SHE'S IN LOVE, HE'S NOT

SHE'S IN LOVE, HE'S NOT

A Poem by Edmerlyn Geralde
"

the poem talks about one sided love and when it finally blooms in the other person's heart...it was too late

"
She look at him with a twinkle in her eyes
He looks at her with coldness, and feed her with lies
She is building dreams and bright future with him
He gave her lame excuses and a fake dream
She tried to be the sweetest person in his life
He made her believe that he wants her to be his wife
She did everything to make him happy
He returned the favor by being snappy
She's not dumb, numb or too blind
He saw her tears and pain but does not mind
She felt the emptiness and one sided track
He's afraid to let her go, might not win her back
She extends all the patience with all her might
He abused that patience and think that he is bright
But one day she gave up without wanting to
Too late he realized he love her too
Late enough to show her his sweetness
And now he felt was pure emptiness and sadness
He wish he was not that selfish enough
Now living a life without her is tough
And now the lady who truly love him fades away
No matter how he tried to convince her to stay
For love ignored like a plant won't grow
It will simply die and loose its glow

I like how, instead of ending it with a happy or sad ending for her, the one I felt sorry for, you ended it with the not so happy ending for him. Nice write. Keep up the good work.

thanks a lot =)
Too much, too little, too late! He realizes what he has lost after she moves on. So sad and a tale that plays out all too often. Indeed, when love is ignored, it withers and dies. Very nicely written. Lydi**
