Maybe

Maybe

A Poem by maleekh777

What is it to be obscure?

Are intentions ever really pure?

Am i alert?

Vision blurred

Visions of unmentionable words

Lurking across lines crossed in unmentionable earth

For what is it worth?

Searching to regain what is lost

Only to find that which was never possessed

Dying a death that doesn’t leave you truly dead

For what is it worth?

A broken vase leaning off the ledge

To a fall that would not leave it truly dead

Pushed by fragile words left unsaid

Leaving the warm embrace of a stable homestead

Leaping into the cold abyss

Of words said but not truly meant

Coins frivolously spent

Metals undeserved of the mint

But it if in the midst of the sea

The rays of the sun fill the cracks in between

If in the end I land on my feet

If I rise from my knees

It could be

it may be

maybe
