Everything's Alright

Everything's Alright

A Poem by Amanda Garcia

She’s alright,

As she sits alone

Wondering where he is

Dreaming of his return.

He’s alright,

As he’s laying in the dirt

Wondering what she’s doing

Dreaming she’s thinking of him.

They're alright,

As they sleep apart

Yearning for one another

Dreaming love will get them through.

Everything’s alright,

As they yearn for one another

Praying for each other

Dreaming of life after the war.

Amazing first, second, third, and fourth beginning lines to each stanza. I love how you do that.

I think "Their" should be "They're" - a contraction of "They are" in the second paragraph. Or do you mean it differently?

Imaginative story. About war and deployment?

Thank you for your feedback. And yes about war and deployment.
