Daughter's Confessions

Daughter's Confessions

A Poem by Amanda Hope
"

A poem he will never read

"

You were my everything

And I dont think you understand

How much it meant to me when you would take my hand

Why sit there and pretend holding lives in the balance

When you left we all fell

Don't you see the revelance?

Damaging sweet lives too young to comprehend

Why daddy won't stay and see it through to the end

Showing a young heart the coldness of this world

A hurt that purled our minds

The selfishness astounding

A sad side to mankind

A first love

A first loss

A fathers love in your heart

I have yet to come across

:( and again :(

This is a superbly written and saddenly wonderful piece. You have captured the essence of loss to the extreme and the repercusion it forces upon us in those last four lines that can not be equalled by anything I have read or written. Brilliantly done. Going in favorites. Please continue writing this calibre of work. Kudos.

This is both beautiful and heartbreaking. I'd say that makes it a very good piece! Good work. I love it.

I'm sorry that your dad left. I wish mine had, it would have made the situation a heck of a lot easier for my family. Very well written poem, I can feel your loss, the early exposition to pain like that.
