Rain Clouds

Rain Clouds

A Poem by Paul Aleman

Rain Clouds

by Paul Aleman
 Rain clouds paint a darkness,
a sadness in the sky.
A burst of God-likeness,
then flickers just to die.

Hear the rolling thunder,
a lion's noble growl.
Hear the raindrop's clatter,
to which the flowers bow.

Rain life giving water,
rebirth to all who thirst.
Does it really matter,
of one glass, who drinks first?

This was very nice, though, writing about rain and being in San Antonio...this must have been written from memory.

wow this picture is so nicely painted..

and the last two lines so poignant...love the middle stanza...

i think of the great flood..the ark...the rebirth afterwards...

i cannot imagine why there aren't more views and reviews of this dazzling piece.
