A warrior's redemption Chapter 1 of 5 Awakening

A warrior's redemption Chapter 1 of 5 Awakening

A Story by Warrior of Death

Haki woke up feeling exhausted and noticed he was lying on a comfortably low-laying bed. He sat up with much difficulty and warily looked around. The room he was in was alien yet familiar to him and the walls were lined with circles of many different sizes, all cut out of the same light colored brick-like stone. Rows of evergreen bushes with bright blue and bloody red flowers amid the deep green leaves stood along the walls and ivy-like plants and grasses blanketed the floor and ceiling. Suddenly a searing pain erupted in both his left side and shoulder, causing Haki to fall back against the matress. He yelled vainly and lost consiousness for several hours.
As he reopened his eyes, Haki spotted a stout blue-skinned alien sitting next to him, watching him intently. The dwarf stood up and extended his hand towards him. Haki, reluctant to touch the creature, stayed where he was. The alien smiled wide, his face as elongated as a watermelon and began to speak with a slightly garbled branch of Galactic Normal.

"I'm glad to see you finally awake, I and my son Guiro have awaited your conciousness for many days."

Haki lifted his hand to touch his forehead.
"Where am I and how long have I been here?" Haki asked in a loud and unnecessary tone.
The alien's smile faded, becoming serious. "You are on the planet Plantae and as far as I can tell, your stay has been since two standard weeks ago."
Haki passed out from his realization.

Hako remained in the infirmary on Plantae for a few weeks. The after his first awaking in two weeks, Haki met Guiro, the blue alien's son, who seemed to take a special interest in Haki and his story. Everyday the young alien and his father, Gasro, brought Haki a basket of food, which consisted mainly of
carrot-like vegetables and many fruits and plants. He also learned many things while on Plantae. Haki learned more about it's inhabitants, the Plaintairs and their history, customs, and their undying taste for spike- ball looking fruits
they call blaga. They were also facinated by Haki's adventures, especially his last adventure before coming to their planet.
One morning, a small group of tall, hooded beings walked into the village. A certain bad vibe pervaided them. Their long, dark cloaks left space for the curved horns that protruded from their heads and shoulders. Minutes from mid-day, the newcomers attacked furiously and without warning the next day. Many of the Plaintairs were killed and most of their bulidings were destroyed by powerful energy blasts. As Haki listened in horror, he overheard one of the voices, Argeniza had come. His rage grew for Argeniza as a flashback smashed into his mind.
