Stargazer

If you look up, good friend

What would you see?

I’d see cars and streetlights

And smog thick and thin.

 

Higher dear friend

Now can you see?

I can see buildings, airplanes

And a few clouds now and again.

 

Up and out and

Beyond all of this

Is stars and space

You won’t want to miss.

 

Now I see, I see,

I can now behold it all.

Was I blind all my years?

Had I missed my call?

 

I now see the sun as it sets,

Whilst the curtain of twilight descends

I see planets and stars

And galaxies with no end.

 

I see meteors and moonbeams!

More stars than streetlights.

All of it twinkles and gleams,

It’s such a wonderful sight.

 

I’m now a stargazer, and

That is the source of my bliss.

Because I looked up and out

And beyond all of this.

Such a beauty! ~ stargazing has this relaxing feelings inside, just like watching the oceans ponders its waves ~ it's a good feeling actually, it's somehow moving and i know the feeling ~ like your imagining wonders above, the beauty it shines upon us ~ and you've brought that into your poem Great job my friend...

and about the authors note: Now in a Hope lodge for cancer patients ~ is there any reason why your there ? ~ helping perhaps.... you know my mom died of cancer, that why if ever i am watching them suffer, i know the feeling and pain they are going through, maybe because i watch my mom struggles on it... but you know what cancer patients have this great strength within them, coz thier will is strong...
