Putting myself first for a change

Putting myself first for a change

A Poem by Haley James

I heard you like that lady
I was always worried about

I'm not gonna be needy
I am not going to pout

I think this is the end of it
I'm not mad,maybe a bit

But it's not like every time
Now I can't even call you mine

I know it's not your fault
It wouldn't have worked out

I could die for you
And it seems like you wanted more

I'm sorry, I did all I could do
Wait, who am I apologizing for?

You never cared, You never will
It was all my stupid mind

I always made sure it was full
Of the silly memories i couldn't find

it's time to let you go
Thanks for everything you haven't done

At least i now know
You're not the only source of fun.

This is so real. I was this girl until I learned to love and appreciate myself more than anyone else. Great work!
