XXXIV (a fairy)

XXXIV (a fairy)

A Poem by Marian Elizabeth
"

A poem from my collection "Between Anorexia and I"

"

I am one fortunate female with a fairy on my shoulder.

From the valley of familiars she was sent to chant her faith.

Senseless ballads all year round roll off her hummingbird tongue:

“Anorexia on the lily eats pistachios and spits shells, hear the bell,

Fat girl with a dream, think slim, and pay in pounds this wish we sell.”
