The Walls Have Fallen : Part 2

PLEASE REVEIW I NEED THEM (ALSO FOR MY SELF-ESTEEM)


Piece by piece they break apart.
They crumble.
I tremble at the sound of their hateful screams.
I hide inside of these walls too scared to set a foot outside.

Their words echo all they way into my head tearing my heart to shreds.
I'm weak that's why I can't look them in the eye.
I just let them tear my walls down.
Because I'm too scared stop them.
What could I do anyway?

The weaker i get the weaker my walls get.
Protection won't last for long.

When I was little they were strong like everybody else's.
Nobody cared, but words piled up.
It was too heavy for my walls.
They crumbled like dead leaves.
So easily destroyed.

I was revealed to the world.
I was no longer hidden.

After they finished with me they went to the next one.
I could have gone to help that person hiding in fear, but I didn't.
I just walked along the rubble.
I was too scared to go outside the perimeter or broken stone, so I piled up debris to hide inside of again.

This is wonderful, a perfect poem that tells a person of analogies to the human condition of the heart.

In my experience, there are the ones that are trampled and those who trample. Neither one is right, and the former are the ones who are always hurt.
