Lines

Here I am straddling the lines of

reality & fantasy

 

Feeling the pull of reality

of what I must/need/should do

 

But the caress of fantasy

lulling me into his arms

asking me "...please"

 

Torn between the people who love me

& the person I love

Between ignorant happiness

& jarring truth

 

I've become lost between them all

Unfeeling & untouched

 

I have no idea where my imagination stops its charade

& why lifes become so painful

 

So I sit here

Straddling the lines of reality & fantasy

Hoping someday I'll find the common ground

Like the poem Monty! Great descriptive words and good flow throughout the poem. I like the opposites used and it shows a great difference between reality and fantasy. Good write. Welcome to WC :)
