Child

Child

A Poem by Monty.

Fingers gliding quickly over ivory keys

Notes flowing in a stream of musical harmony

Through an open window this music flies

To meet with the softly padding feet of a

Child turning and dancing along the sand

The gentle waves licking at her feet as her

Bright smile and cheery laughing ring out

Through the morning mist

Patches of sunlight streaming through

Like little spotlights upon this tiny dancer

Helping her along with her giggles

the sunlight dances with her

her eyes showing nothing but

Innocence and laughter and love

of everything and nothing

Things that come and go
