Relax, Open, Receive

Relax, Open, Receive

A Poem by Maryam Mottahedeh

Relax, Open, Receive

How far can I stretch this body

This mind

How far can I stretch my heart

And feel the heart of the matter

Open, Relax, Receive

How far will the mirror lead

How far with it will I stay still

In that stillness where reflections are seen

Open, Relax, Receive

How far will I be able to receive you in, dear one

How far will I be able to receive my truth from within

And my voice in the echoes that percolates out of you and your being

Relax, Open, Receive

Mirror Mirror, that is my mantra

When I am with you

So just as I dress to be in front of you

I may undress with my intent these personas

And undress you with my ears as well as eyes

And in all its subtleties better receive you

Well, Persians are the luckiest to have such a rich heritage in poetry, like Rumi, Shirazi, Firdousi, Iqbal etc. It reflects in your write too. A unique poem ............. liked it.
