Eternally Together

What death feels like for the one who died. I wrote this in the summer of 1997.

I had been looking for an angel
when I finally met you.
You knew just how to cheer me up
whenever I felt blue.
Our relationship grew quickly,
without a lot of haste.
We were always with each other,
Connected at the waist.
It wasn't any real big secret
we were deep in love.
I learned that Love is something special
sent from Him above.
The day they took my life from me
I had another birth.
But now I'm stuck in Heaven
watching you live down on Earth,
I love you with all my heart!
I hope you know thats true.
My love for you will grow forever.
I hope that your's will too.
I know you wish that I was close
so you could feel me near.
But all you have to do is think
and I will soon be there.
There will be many challenges
that you will have to face,
But, just remember that I am here
To help you win the race.
I'll be your inspiration,
I will be your light.
So we may once again be joined
And live a glorious life.
