Leech

Leech

A Poem by Mahigan

I drink in the sorrow you so blatantly thrust aside
For to me it is sweet, sweet ambrosia
The essence of my essence, that which fills me full
Sustaining me through the long, cold hours of the midnight depths
Sating my wicked appetites until the first light of dawn

I bathe in the misery you have so forcefully flushed out
For one such as I it is the fountain of youth
Renewing my tired soul in the wash of your despair
Cleansing my frigid, bitter heart of its own sad self-defeat
Invigorating my spirit through the tarnish of your own

But that which I treasure most are your terrible, awful regrets
Those succulent lamentations which plague you
Tearing off pieces of your mind so I may savor them
Collecting the melting drops of your soul to drink them at my leisure
Devouring your fractured whole bit by bit

Wonderful. Love this some much, reminds me of a emotional abusive relationship.

I get strong feelings while reading the poem, and your words are amazing.
Beauitful, yet sad. Thanks!
